Meet the Founder

Hi, I’m David Schumann, and I’m an engineer, product development leader, author and advocate. I have spent the last twenty years developing technologies for companies in a wide range of industries and researching the health effects of wireless devices. I started the Living With Radiation website in 2011 largely in response to the Fukushima nuclear disaster and self-published a guide on nuclear radiation and health in 2014. With a co-author, I published my second book on the Takata airbag scandal in 2019. I hope to share a third book in the next few years on what I’ve learned and offer solutions for the 21st century. I have three sons who don’t use cellphones and I enjoy hiking, gardening, and spending time in nature.
